Sony is not doing itself a favor by attacking small companies, especially before the Playstation 3 launch date. Sony has apparently been bleeding import website Lik-Sang to death with multiple lawsuit's, as a result Lik-Sang is shutting down. What did Lik-Sang do you say? Just importing Sony related products like the PSP, PS2 etc to Europe, that's all. I don't know, even if it was a grey area when it comes to European laws, Sony should have waited untill after the Playstation 3 was launched to do anything like this. Sony certainly keeps the bad press rolling don't they. What's worse is that top Sony executives in Europe purchased hardware from Lik-Sang! What a backstab.

Exlusive Pro Evolution Soccer 6 bundle announced for Europe. Microsoft is pushing the bundles these days, first the Japan bundle and now this. Europe loves thier soccer, Japan loves thier RPG, I'm suprised thier isn't a Gears of War bundle...or is thier?

Looks like Microsoft plans to make their next-gen consoles processor themselves and leaving partners Intel in the dust. The Microsoft research team creating this next-gen chip is called the "Computer Architecture Group" and is headed by Microsoft engineer Charles P. Thacker. I would have figured that Microsoft would be satisfied with what they have assimilated but apparently the Borg king himself wants more. Resistance is futile.

Everyone had heard that the Playstation 3 would run Linux. The question was what flavor of Linux that was. Now we hear that it's Yellow Dog Linux. I can see the hacker underground scene rubbing thier hands together in anticipation to break into the Playstation 3.

It looks like Nintendo was busy making other stuff before they where busy making games and consoles. Before the 1980's they used to make toys and board games, a couple of tv games too. Pictured here is Godzilla: All out Kid Attack. No No, actually it's called Round Game, although when translated it actually says "Time Race Game". Check out the source for more pictures.

I can remember when the Neo-Geo first had an advertisement on Electronic Gaming Monthly "a game magazine still kicking". What I also remember is the price tag it had....$649.99 and most of the games ranged from $100 to over $200 dollars. Here, Target is selling half an arcade cabinet with SNK/Neo-Geo games. You get the great classic Metal Slug, Top Player Golf, Samurais Showdown, King of Fighters, League Bowling and all for the price of an Xbox 360, that's right, only $399.99. Of course there are other free/illegal alternatives to playing these games but it wont give you the magic of playing on an arcade cabinet.

** I just realized that Target is selling all kinds of arcade cabinets. You can check the rest Here.

Japan always gets the cool stuff. Platinum members in Nintendo Japans Club Nintendo were given a very special reward.....A Wii themed remote control. A real Wiimote, one that can change the volume of your TV, one that surfs the endless sea of channels satellite TV has to offer. I can't wait to see these things on eBay, this sort of exclusivity/coolness always demands ridiculous amounts of dough.

Houston, Wii have lift off, sorry, I couldn't help that. Tomorrow, Friday the 13th, Gamestop and EBgames will start taking pre-orders for the nintendo Wii. You'll need to plunk down $50 dollars to reserve the console and $5 for the games. You know, I'm not sure if I'm going to wait in line "if there is one" or wait it out till release day. Nintendo did say that they are allocating around 4 million units for the US, that's freaking plenty of units and I seriously don't think everyone is going for the Wii....are they? Check out the source for further info.

With the eminent release of nintendo's seventh generation video game console called Wii (pronounced "we"), I thought it would benifit this site if I posted basic but important information on the Wii's release.

Release Date
November 19, 2006 (US, CAN, MEX, COL, PER)
December 02, 2006 (JAP)
December 07, 2006 (AUS, NZ)
December 08, 2006 (EUR, UK)

Console Price/Accessories
Wii Console: $249.99 USD, Wii Remote: $39.99 USD
Nunchuk: $19.99 USD, Classic Controller: $19.99 USD

Included in the box
Wii Console, Wii Remote with strap, Nunchuk, Wii AC Adapter
Wii Stereo AV Cable, Wii Stand, Wii Stand Plate, Wii Sensor Bar
Sensor Bar Stand, 2x AA Batteries, Wii Sports (not included in Japan)

As you may have heard, the Wii will also have the capability
to play nintendo games from the past, all the way back to
the NES. These virtual console games will cost 500 points
for the NES ($5 USD), 800 points for the SNES ($8 USD) and
1000 points for the N64 ($10 USD). All in all it looks like
nintendo just might give sony's ps3 and microsoft's xbox 360
a run for it's money....Wii just don't know.
